DISCLAIMER: The following is a general guideline on the use of coupons at Kmart. Kmart does NOT have a corporate coupon policy available online. Management reserves the right to limit the use of coupons based on store needs.
The following general coupon policies apply to coupons
accepted at Kmart. This includes coupon usage during Double Coupon Days and
most other Kmart grocery and drugstore shopping events.
·
The coupon must have a scannable bar code.
·
The coupon must be the original coupon. Copies are not accepted.
·
One coupon per item is accepted. For example, stacking a manufacturer's coupon with a Kmart
coupon is not permitted (your mileage may vary on this – some store will allow
stacking a Kmart store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon).
·
Coupons resulting in an overage will be adjusted down to match
the price of the item. No overages are given in the way of cash or credit.
·
During regular business days there is no official limit on the
number of coupons shoppers may redeem, however the store manager may impose a
limit if necessary.
·
Coupons do not apply to sales tax.
Coupon Policies During Double Coupon Days
The general coupon policies listed above also apply to
Double Coupon Days along with additional policies specific to the event:
·
The total sale before coupons are applied must reach $25 or more
in grocery and drugstore merchandise.
·
Only customers with a "Shop
Your Way Rewards Card" will receive double the value of their coupons. The
rewards card must be presented to the cashier when checking out in order to get
the double coupon values.
·
Manufacturers' coupons of
up to (and including) $2 can be doubled.
·
There is a limit of five coupons per day that will be doubled.
Additional coupons may be used, but they will not be doubled.
·
Shoppers may purchase up to four of the same item with double
coupons.
·
Buy-one-get-one coupons, Kmart Savings coupons and Kmart Store
coupons are excluded and will not be doubled.
·
Amount of credit from doubling a coupon cannot exceed the price
of a single item.
·
No overages as a result of a coupon will be given in the way of
cash or credit.
·
Limits and restrictions may vary by event.
Printable Internet Coupons
·
Printable Internet
coupons that scan properly during
checkout are accepted.
·
Internet coupons that display
the following characteristics will
not be accepted:
o Blurry
o Distorted
o Do not scan properly
o Appear altered in any way
o Are copied, not printed or
obviously duplicated
·
Printable coupons that offer a "free" item without a
purchase requirement will not be accepted.
·
Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a
purchase requirement are acceptable.
·
Printable coupons for more that about 75% of a product's value
will not be accepted. For example, a $2 off coupon for a product that sells for
$2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate. If there are exceptions, Kmart is usually
provided advance notice by the manufacturer.
Manufacturers' Coupons
Note: This applies to clipped, not manufactures' coupons printed from the Internet. See above for Kmart's policy on accepting manufacturers' coupons printed from the Internet.
